Taekwondo

I recently started taekwondo in December, and as of 2/5/2024, I am officially an Orange belt. This is just one leap towards my goal of becoming a black belt. Although I do not believe that I am the best at taekwondo when compared to the other kids there, I will still share some of my tips with you. First off, depending on where you attend, they will want you to say different things. For example, at some taekwondo dojos, they may want you to say “Kia!” after throwing a punch or kick. At others, they may want you to say “Yes Sir/Ma’am!” after they give an order. This may not seem like a big deal, but it can count towards your test. Secondly, make sure to take the tips they give you. If they tell you a tip, or something to improve what you’re doing, follow it. Chances are that they aren’t just saying it to be nice, and if you follow what they say, it can help you get a higher score during testing. These are my tips for anyone considering taekwondo. That’s it for today’s blog, see you next time!
